Deadline for Australian Timber Design Awards extended

Entry to the Australian Timber Design Awards has been extended.

The new closing is Friday, July 30.

Submissions can be made through the Australian Timber Design Award (ATDA) web upload facility.

Entry is open to architects, builders, building designers, engineers and students.

A submitted project must be based on a completed building or structure and must be entered through the ATDA web based Awards Submission Facility. This process will require you to supply at least six images of the project, both completed and during construction, a site plan, other sections or details as necessary and where requested written design statements and certificates of authenticity.

Categories include:
- Residential Class 1/ New Buildings: single family dwellings or townhouses/villas
- Residential Class 1/ Best Renovation: single family dwellings or townhouses/villas
- Resorts, including apartments and aged care
- Public or Commercial Buildings
- Interior Fitout – Residential
- Interior Fitout – Commercial
- Outdoor Timber – Stand alone structures

Entries will be judged on outstanding timber use, appearance, workmanship, structure and innovation. Judges will be looking for context-suitable use of timber.
