The Property Industry Foundation (PIF) is on track to reach its target of $273,000 for this year’s National Hard Hat Campaign.
National Hard Hat Day encourages everyone in the property industry to donate at least an hour’s pay to help fund special charity projects.
Proceeds from this year’s campaign will go to projects for children’s charities, including the St Vincent de Paul Society Youth Reach and The Sir David Martin Foundation in Sydney and Open Family Australia in Melbourne.
PIF national chairman, Brendan Crotty, says National Hard Hat Day had been a major success this year, with over 80 companies taking part, including Investa Property Group, Australand, Colliers International, Group GSA, ADCO Construction, Lend Lease, Thiess, TressCox Lawyers and Savills.
Since PIF’s inception in 1996, more than $12 million has been raised for a number of worthy charities through its core fundraising activities. These include annual events such as the Yachting Regatta, National Hard Hat Day and Charity Car Rally and Cycling Challenge.
